How can I prevent overlaps in packages?
If you want to ensure that customers book each part of their package at different times that don’t overlap one another, we have a little tool to help you out there!
To use this new feature go to Settings > Packages. If you are making a new package press ‘Add new package type’, but if you are amending an existing package press ‘Edit’.
Select the 'Availability' tab.
You will see an option of ‘Prevent choice overlaps’ with a button next to it.
If you do not want to prevent overlaps leave this toggle OFF and choices within the package will be able to overlap.
If you do want to prevent overlaps within this package, toggle this ON.
Remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and press ‘Save’ to save these changes.
Can I exclude certain choices within the package from being included in this prevention?
Yes, once you’ve enabled the feature to prevent overlaps for the package (see previous explanation) you can go into Package Choices to exclude certain choices from this rule.
To do this go to Settings > Packages > edit > Package choices.
Go to the choice you wish to exclude from this rule, select 'More options' and find the ‘Allow overlaps’ toggle. This will enable this specific choice to be booked at the same time as other choices in the package.
For this option to be visible you must have toggled on ‘Prevent choice overlaps’ in the earlier stage.
Toggle ON ‘Allow overlaps’. Or leave OFF and this choice will not be able to overlap.
You can turn on or off as many choices as you want.
Remember to press ‘Save’ on the choice settings to save changes.
