Want to be able to print receipts to hand straight to your customers? Well, you can do just that by connecting your receipt printer to Trybe!
We recommend Epson TM-T20III and TM-T88V as we have tested with these models. We should be compatible with any ESC/POS printer that are USB connected and supported by Windows, but advise testing with your IT team - see our specs guide for more information.
There are a few steps to follow to initially set up your printer which will be outlined in this guide!
Firstly, you will need to head to Settings > Manage integrations > Other > Receipt printing > Configure...
Logo
Here you will be able to upload the logo that you want to appear on the top of the receipt. Once you have uploaded the file, remember to press 'Save logo' to save changes.
If no logo is uploaded then at the top of the receipt your site name will be displayed.
There isn't a set aspect ratio requirement for the logo as this will be limited by the printer itself. The best practice is upload a small version of the logo and test it out. if it cuts off, make the image smaller and upload again. Repeat until it is successful.
Please note this logo will appear in black and white on the receipt.
Printers
Here you will be able to configure the printers that are connected to your site. To do this select 'Add printer', here you can enter in the printer name and select the paper size (either 58mm or 80mm).
Once you have entered the name and paper size > select 'Create printer'.
You will be able to edit the name or paper size later on if needed by selecting the three dots > edit.
Once you have added your printer, you will receive an email, please head to the next step to see what to do next!
For best results, we recommend the application is installed on a server. The software doesn't need to run on the same PC where Trybe is being used - as long as it's installed on a computer that is connected to the internet and connected to the printer, users can print to the receipt printer from any other computer.
We also support networked printers, if your receipt printer has a network interface.
