You can create default service charge rates and choose which offerings they should apply to.
To do this head to Settings > Order management > Service charge.
Service charge rates>
Here you will see the option to set a 'Default percentage'. This is the default percentage that will apply if the offering does not have a service charge rate set up for it.
If you want to set up different service charge rates for different offerings, you will need to select 'Add rate' (first screenshot). Then you will have to enter in the following information:
Percentage - enter in the % amount for the rate
Offerings - go through your offerings and toggle on which offerings this service charge rate applies to
> Select 'Done' to create the rate (see second screenshot)
The rate will then be added to the list of 'Offering rates'.
To edit a rate, simply select the rate and a pop-up window will appear.
To delete a rate, click on the three dots next to the rate you want to delete > 'Delete'.
You can create as many rates as you want for your offerings!
Follow up guide: Adding service charge to an order
Please note: Service charge will not be applied to customer orders from your shop. If you want to apply a service charge to an online order you can manually do this once the order has dropped into Trybe.
Tip on card reader
By toggling on the option 'Enable tipping on card readers', you allow your customers who pay through Trybe Pay the choice to add a tip on the card reader.
If this option is toggled off, when your customer pays on your card reader, they will not have this choice offered.
When making changes, don't forget to click on 'Save' at the bottom right of the page!
Once this has been enabled, this will mean that when a customer is paying via the card reader, an option to add a tip will appear. This is in addition to any service charge that may be added.
If a tip has been added via the card reader, in the 'Payments' section, the notes section will display how much tip was added for the transaction. The total tip amount will also then be displayed just above the 'total'.
To find revenue for tips in reports, head to Reports > Sales > and either go to Revenue Allocations Summary or Revenue Allocations breakdown. You can also see the tips applied by items when exporting the Sold items report.
