Organic search is one of the many routes a potential guest can take to your site. Showing up well in Google’s search results means steady, free traffic to your Trybe page over time, and it starts with a handful of settings most venues only need to check once, then revisit monthly.
We currently don’t have the ability to track your SEO status and analytics directly in Trybe, but this guide will get you started with Google Search Console so you can gain invaluable marketing insights to drive your SEO strategy.
Important: this guide includes the use of Google Tag Manager (GTM). Because of the way these Google solutions are set up, using GTM means you won’t be able to use our Reserve with Google integration. Reserve with Google is a feature of Google Maps and Google Search that lets businesses offer bookings directly as part of their listing.
If your site is a hotel spa, you can use GTM on your hotel URL and Reserve with Google on your Try.be booking site.
Set up your Google Search Console account
Use this link to log in to Google Search Console, or create an account.
Click ‘Add a website’ in Google Search Console.
When prompted to add your website, use ‘URL’ when tracking your Try.be site. If you’re tracking your hotel URL, please consult your provider.
Enter your Trybe shop URL, for example, https://jennysspa.try.be
You’ll then be asked to verify that you own the site. For verifying your Trybe site, scroll down and select Google Tag Manager as your method of verification.
Add Trybe Site as an account
On the Google Tag Manager homepage, set up your account name and container.
You’ll be prompted to add code into the pages of your website - you can skip this step, as we’ll do this in your Trybe settings instead.
Once you’re in your console, you’ll see your GTM-xxxxxxxx code in the top right-hand corner of the console page.
Link Google Tag Manager to Trybe
Go into your Trybe settings to link your console to your Trybe site. Head to Settings > Manage Integrations > Google Tag Manager.
Paste in the code from your Google console to enable your Google Tag Manager integration.
