Once a membership has passed its 'End date', the membership will automatically expire and the status of the membership will update to "Expired".
When a membership has expired, you will be unable to extend the membership. If you select the three dots next to the membership, here you will see the "Edit" option isn't able to be selected because "This membership can't be edited".
If the customer wishes to carry on with their membership once it has expired, they will have to sign up for a new membership/ a user will have to add a new membership to their profile and therefore, the client will have to set up their payment method again if auto-payments are turned on.
