Blocked times can be used to block out a practitioners time and/or room for a specific period of time. These blocked times will mean this practitioner will not be available to take any treatments within these blocked times. They can be used to schedule in lunches, meetings, stock takes, cleaning etc. for a specific day/practitioner/room. The blocked times are added via the calendar.

However, to make adding blocked times faster you can set up preset blocked times!

To create preset blocked times go to Settings > Blocked times.

Here you will be able set up blocked time presets for your site.

To do this select 'Add preset' you will then be able to enter...

  • Name - the name for this preset

  • Default duration - select the duration from drop down menu

  • Blocked time type - select between break, cleaning, meeting or other

  • Blocked time label - enter a label for this blocked time i.e. lunch

  • Blocked time colour - choose a colour

  • Blocked time notes - add any additional notes needed

When filled in select 'Add'.

You can then press the three dots to 'Edit' or 'Delete' this preset blocked time. You can add as many preset blocked times as you like.

When adding blocked times to your calendar you will be able to choose from one of these presets to make adding blocked times faster.

You WILL be able to override any presets chosen here when adding a new blocked time to the calendar.

How to add preset blocked times to the calendar

Once you have set up any preset blocked times you can use them to add to your calendar.

To do this head to Calendar on the left hand side. Choose the date you want to add the blocked times to.

Then select any blank space on the calendar and select 'Add blocked times'.
Here you can then select 'Start with a preset', this will reveal all of the presets you have set up.

If you choose a preset time, it will automatically fill in all the fields that are required when setting up a preset time. However, you are able to override any of the default options but pressing into each component and editing accordingly.

You can also set this block time for any other practitioners or rooms/ areas by selecting 'choose others' and ticking/unticking practitioners/ rooms/ areas. Press 'Save' to add the blocked times to your calendar.

Once on the calendar you can drag and drop the blocked around to change the time period/ practitioner this blocked time is for.
