How to apply credits to an order as a user in Trybe?
When you go to create an order by selecting '+' > New order enter in the name of the client. If this client has membership credits or course credits they will appear in the "client details" section, it will state the number of credits they have...
If you select on the credits, it will reveal the credits the client has...
Here you will be able to see the expiry date of the credits if it has one. If there is no expiry date set on the credit then it will state 'No expiry' to let you know.
If "Auto applied" appears next to the credit this will mean it is a membership credit that has "multi-use" toggled on, therefore, it will be automatically applied to every order for this client but of course will only be applicable to items that are set up as being applicable to that credit.
If the credit has an "apply" button this means that it is a course credit (as these have to be manually applied) or it is a membership credit that has "multi-use" toggled off, this will mean the credit has to be manually applied to the order as it can only be used once.
💡TIP: If you want to see what the credits provide i.e. the applicable offerings or the % amount off then select directly onto a credit and it will provide this information...
When you add the appointment/ session/ package etc. to the order. If it is a multi-use credit, the credit will automatically be applied to the item if it matches the requirements, if it is not multi-use you will have to select 'Apply' in order for the credit to be applied to the order.
Once the credit is applied, the discount will show on the item. In this example it was a free massage so when the credit was applied manually (as it was a membership credit that has "multi-use" toggled off) the item becomes completely free and there is nothing left to pay...
How to track which user applied a course credit or a membership credit that has "multi-use" toggled off to an order in Trybe?
For course credits or membership credits that have "multi-use" toggled off, these need to be manually applied to an order, therefore, you will want to be able to keep track of this. You can keep track of the user that applied the credit to the order using the audit log in the order! For example, here you can see it states when and who applied the credit, the action is called "Customer credit applied"...
Please note: As any membership credits that have "multi-use" enabled are automatically applied to an order, this will not be recorded in the order audit as they are automatically applied to all orders for that client. There is no manually application here.
How to apply credits on the shop front?
To apply credits on the shop front the customer will have to be logged into their account as the credits are associated with an account.
The customer can find their credits by heading to the person icon to take them to their account page > Credits > here they will see any credits from courses or memberships.
To apply the credits, the customer will need to book an offering that links to the credit/ credits they have, then when they head to 'Checkout' they will be able to apply the credit!
At the check out you will see the 'Your available credits' section, this will list all of the credits the customer has. If the credit is a 'multi-use' credit then it will automatically apply to the order, if the item in the order contains the applicable offering...
As you can see in this example, the "Afternoon tea" has automatically "applied" (as it is a multi-use membership credit), the Afternoon tea is £35 but the order totals to £31.50 as the credit provides 10% off. You can remove the credits by selecting the 'Remove' button.
Other credits that are not multi-use will have the 'Apply' button, if selected and an offering in the basket is applicable the credit will apply to the order. However, if the customer selects 'Apply' and the credit is not applicable a pop up will appear stating 'Sorry, this credit couldn't be applied to this order'...
Also, the expiry date of the credits will be shown on the checkout page. If there is no expiry date set on the credit then it will state 'No expiry' to let you know.
