If you have a guest who's interested in signing up to a Membership plan, you can get them signed up through the App nice and easily.

You can also allow guests to sign up Online via your Shop (for further details please read through the Membership set up guide)

To sign a new member up in the app, head to the Clients tab. If the customer is an existing client you can search for the client and select their name to go into their profile, if they are not registered you can '+ Add new client' > fill in their details > 'Save changes'.

When you are on the client profile go to Memberships > + New > select the membership type and rate > select the start and end date (start date will default to today and end date will default to a year later but you can override this) > Create membership.

If there is a joining fee or pro rata, the membership will warn you that 'Setup fee is unpaid'. To pay this select the three dots > pay setup fee > it will direct you to the orders page where you can '+ Add payment'. (Image 2)When this is paid and you go back to the client profile, the status will have changed to 'Active' and state 'Up to date with all payments'.

If this Membership type has been set up to pay via Stripe DD then you will need to go through the next step to send a DD Mandate request form to the new member.

If the Membership type is set up for payments to be taken outside of Trybe (i.e. the member pays via BACs or in cash etc) they will not need to complete a mandate form and so you will be able to skip this step.

The different Membership statuses you will see are; 'Needs attention', 'Active' or 'Cancelled'.

If 'Needs attention' the warning will instruct you that either:

  • Setup fee is unpaid - press three dots > Pay setup fee

  • No mandate has been provided - press three dots > Request payment method. This will send the new member an email requesting they provide Card Details for the recurring membership payments. New members will also be able to access the payment form link from their My Account settings

Once any joining fees/ pro ratas/ mandates have been set up for the membership the status will turn to 'Active' and it will state 'Up to date with all payments'. This means that nothing else needs to be set up for this membership.

If any recurring credits were set up for this membership, when you scroll down to credits on the client profile they will be listed there.
