What are Voucher categories and how can I create them?

The voucher categories you set up can be used to categorise your vouchers on your shop front. 


To create voucher categories, head to Settings > Categories > scroll to Manage voucher categories > Add new voucher category > fill in the Name > Create. (See Image 1)

If you select the three dots next to the voucher category you can:

  • Enable / disable for site - choose whether you want this category to be an option for this site

  • Delete

You can also use the 'Reorder voucher categories' option to change the order your voucher categories are displayed. A pop up will appear where you can reorder:

  • Drag and drop the voucher category into the exact place you want.

  • Select the three dots choose to 'Move to top' or 'Move to bottom'. This will immediately place the voucher category at the top/ bottom of the list.

  • Select the three dots > Move to position. This will allow you to enter in a number position you want to move it to.

Once done select 'Save' and this will then update the order of the voucher categories on your shop front.


Now that you have created your categories you can add them to your voucher settings. To do this go to Settings > Voucher types > edit > Categories > select from the drop down menu what categories this voucher applies to. (See Image 2)


When on the shop front, on the Vouchers tab the customer can press the 'Any type' option and all the voucher categories you have created will appear. By pressing a category it will filter all your vouchers to only show those that are assigned to that category.
